Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water
Justification for type of information:
According to the water solubility estimates in EPISuite (V.1.43), the water solubility of the test material was estimated to range from 1.4E-8 to 1.8 E-7 mg/L, and the Log Kow (EPISuite Kowwin v 1.68) was estimated to range from 11.7 to 12.8. These estimated data were supported by empirical water solubility and n-octanol/water partition coefficient data of < 5.0E-5 g/L at 20.0 °C and greater than 3.16 E6 (log Pow > 6.5), respectively. Thus, the material is highly insoluble in water and hydrolysis testing is waived.

Description of key information

According to the water solubility estimates in EPISuite (V.1.43), the water solubility of the test material was estimated to range from 1.4 x 10-8to 1.8 x10-7mg/L, and the Log Kow (EPISuite Kowwin v 1.68) was estimated to range from 11.7 to 12.8. These estimated data were supported by empirical water solubility and n-octanol/water partition coefficient data of < 5.0 x 10-5g/L at 20.0 °C and greater than 3.16 x 106(log Pow > 6.5), respectively. Thus, the material is highly insoluble in water and hydrolysis testing is waived.
