Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

A vapor pressure correlation was developed on the basis of the experimental data using a Wagner type equation.

The standard deviation between experimental data and the vapor pressure correlation is +/-0.1%

Conclusions:
The test item vapor pressure is 176.8 kPa at 293.15K (20°C) and 466.3 kPa at 323.15K (50°C)
Executive summary:

The vapor pressure of the test item has been determined with a glass equilibrium cell.

Sixteen vapor pressure were measured from 273.15 to 343.15K. The test item vapor pressure is 176.8 kPa at 293.15K (20°C) and 466.3 kPa at 323.15K (50°C)

Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
other: literature data
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
2003
Reliability:
4 (not assignable)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
documentation insufficient for assessment
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Not detail on the method
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
other: method not specified
Temp.:
0 °C
Vapour pressure:
0.81 Bar
Temp.:
25 °C
Vapour pressure:
2.11 Bar
Conclusions:
The test item vapour pressure is 0.81 Bar at 0°C and 2.11 Bar at 25°C.
Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
vapour pressure testing is not required because the standard boiling point is < 30 ºC, as this substance will have a vapour pressure value above the limit of measurement (i.e. 10E+05 Pa)

Description of key information

Due to the test item physical state (gas), an experimental test is not required for REACH registration.

The key value for chemical safety assessement is based on data obtained in a published article (Klimisch reliability 2). In this article, the test item vapor pressure have been determined at sixteen temperatures using an apparatus based on glass equilibrium cell. The data obtained are consistent with information provided in another published article (Klimisch reliability 4).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
176.8 kPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C
