Additional information

The short-term toxicity of the test item on Himedaka fishes was performed according to the procedure of Japan Industrial Standards (Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, 1997). Lethal concentration of the test item was evaluated on 10 fishes at 24 and 48 hours. The LC50 at 24 and 48 hours were found to be equal to 1000 mg/L. The low short-term toxicity on Himedaka fishes is supported by the low BCF predicted for the substance by the model BCFBAF Ver 3.01 (log BCF = 0.5; BCF = 3.162 L/kg wet-wt), which indicates that the substance does not have the tendency to bioaccumulate (Technical Guidance Document on Risk Assessment (Part II), 2003).
