Description of key information
With high probability sodium prop-2-enesulphonate is acutely not harmful to aquatic algae.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
The acute toxicity of sodium prop-2-enesulphonate on algae was studied in a growth inhibition test with Scenedesmus subspicatus, in accordance with German national standard DIN 38412 [BASF AG, 1989]. The 72 hours E50 was > 500 mg/L sodium prop-2-enesulphonate.
