Conclusion on classification

The following information was used for deriving the environmental classification:

Danio rerio:

96h-LC50: 87 mg/L

Daphnia magna:

48h-EC50: 12 mg/L

21d-NOEC: 3.5 mg/L

72h-ErC50: >733 mg/L

72h-NOErC: 338 mg/L

GHS/CLP:

Acute:

As the lowest acute E(L)C50 value (to Daphnia magna) was >1 mg/L, the substance is not classified.

Chronic:

Two chronic NOEC values are available (to Daphnia magna and algae). As there is no chronic NOEC value available for fish, the chronic classification has to be determined with the available chronic data based on CLP Table 4.1.0 (b)(i), as the substance is not readily biodegradable, and with the available acute data for fish based on CLP Table 4.1.0 (b) (iii). The most stringent classification is valid.

- CLP Table 4.1.0 (b)(i): As the NOEC values are > 1 mg/L, the substance does not have to be classified.

- CLP Table 4.1.0 (b)(iii): As the 96h-LC50 to fish is > 10 mg/L and ≤100 mg/L and the substance is not readily biodegradable, the substance has to be classified in the Category Chronic 3 with H412.

The most stringent classification is valid and therefore the substance has to be classified in the category Chronic 3 with H412.
