The experimentally determined vapour pressure of the test item C-SAT 090103 at 20 °C of 2.2E-27 mbar (see attached DSC-diagram and vapour pressure diagram) is not in the recommended range of 1 to 1000 mbar for DSC-measurements.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the substance is estimated to be <= 0.16 Pa at 20°C, by using the Grain-Watson estimation, in accordance with EC A.4 and OECD 104 guidelines.

The vapour pressure of the substance was estimated to be <=0.16 Pa at 20°C, using the Grain-Watson estimation method. The decomposition temperature (593.2 K) was used as input parameter for the boiling point and hence the calculated vapour pressure is an overestimation of the real vapour pressure.

The substance is a UVCB substance, containing structurally related molecules with a relatively broad molecular weight range, thus testing is not considered appropriate. The result would very likely reflect the vapour pressure of the most volatile constituent, which may not be representative for the substances as a whole.

For the human health part of the CSA of the substance, it is considered appropriate to use a vapour pressure < 0.01 Pa. With this vapour pressure, the saturated vapour concentration replaces the conservative ECETOC TRA estimations. Using higher estimations is not considered needed for this viscous liquid containing very large molecules. For the environmental part of the CSA, a vapour pressure of 0.005 Pa is used (as a defined value is needed for this CSA).
