Description of key information

No toxicity tests were available with tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers exposed to soil microorganisms.

Additional information

Based upon a read across to Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether (TPnB), Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers is readily biodegradable and has a low potential to bioaccumulate with a Log Kow <3. Also, based on physical and chemical property parameters of TPnB-H, it can be concluded that the ultimate compartment is the aquatic compartment. Therefore, direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely and a waiver is proposed for toxicity testing with soil microorganisms.
