Description of key information

No toxcity tests with soil macroorganisms exposoed to tripropylene glycol n-butly ether highers (TPnB-H) are available.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based upon a read across to Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether (TPnB), Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers is readily biodegradable and has a low potential to bioaccumulate with a Log Kow <3. Also, based on physical and chemical property parameters of TPnB-H, it can be concluded that the ultimate compartment is the aquatic compartment. Therefore, direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely and a waiver is proposed for toxicity testing with soil macroorganisms.
