Additional information

According to REACH Annex IX requirements (column 2), soil simulation testing shall only be considered for substances with a high potential for adsorption. Further, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable or if direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. A soil simulation test can be waived, since tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether highers is readily biodegradable and has a low potential for adsorption to soil (log Kow of ≤ 2).
