Description of key information

Assessment of the bioaccumulation potential for aquatic/sediment species is based on QSAR models. The most conservative value is calculated with Veith et al. (1979) using a log Kow of 5.5 and absence of metabolism. This QSAR is incorporated in the EUSES model, and yielded a value of 9440 L/kg w.w.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
9 440 L/kg ww

Additional information

A kinetic BCF is derived using in vitro hepatocytes resulting in a calculated BCF of 502 using the Han et al. (2007) methodology. In view of the report being in a draft state this value will not yet be used for the risk assessment.
