First-aid measures

General advice:
Get medical attention if symptoms occur. Show this material safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
If inhaled:
Move to fresh air.
In case of skin contact:
Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
In case of eye contact:
In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing.
If swallowed:
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High volume water jet
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information:
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions:
Do not contaminate surface water.
Methods for cleaning up:
Contain spillage, pick up with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and transfer to a container for disposal according to local regulations (see section 13 of SDS). Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Technical measures:
Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Local/Total ventilation:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Advice on safe handling:
Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin and eyes. For personal protection see section 8 of SDS. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Avoid creating dust.
Hygiene measures:
When using do not eat or drink. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe dust.
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Advice on common storage:
No special restrictions on storage with other products.
