Executive summary:

EU Method A.2 (2017) - The determination was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry, which was calibrated prior to use. Aliquots of test item (0.0050 - 0.0074 g) were placed in pre-pierced and were subjected to a thermal program from ambient to 450 °C at 20 °C/min, determinations 1 and 2 were under an air atmosphere and determinations 3 and 4 were under a nitrogen atmosphere. The appearance of the samples was observed before and after (residue) thermal analysis and their weight change were recorded after the test.

The thermographic data was used to determine the boiling point of the the test item as 205.4 ± 0.5 ºC at 100.2 kPa.
