Interpretation of results:
Category 4 (combustible liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 69 ± 2 °C at 100.7 kPa.
Executive summary:

EU Method A.9 (2017) - The flash point of Reaction Mass of (4R)-4-isopropenyl-1-methylcyclohexene and (4R)-4-(2-methoxypropan-2-yl)-1-methylcyclohexene was determined. The flash point was determined to be 69 ± 2 °C at 100.7 kPa, using a closed cup equilibrium method designed to be compatible with Method A.9 Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The test item can be categorised as a Category 4 combustible liquid in accordance with United Nations Global Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).

Description of key information

Flash Point = 69 ± 2 °C at 100.7 kPa; EU Method A.9; Anon. (2017)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
69 °C

Additional information

In a study conducted in accordance with EU Method A.9, the flash point of the test item was determined. The flash point was determined to be 69 ± 2 °C at 100.7 kPa, using a closed cup equilibrium method designed to be compatible with Method A.9 Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as a flammable liquid in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
