The chromatograms of the pretreated water samples were comparable with the chromatograms of the standard dilutions. During the addition of test substance to water a very viscous dark black/blue solution was formed. The solution contained numerous lumps. After centrifugation of the samples no phase separation was observed. The actual concentration in the water samples appeared to be almost the same as the nominal concentration, i,e. almost all the test substance had dissolved.

At these high concentration levels the test substance forms very viscous mixtures with water that can hardly be stirred. For this reason, no main study was performed.

Conclusions:
The water solubility was estimated to be > 400 g/l.
Executive summary:

In order to evaluate the solubility of the test substance in water, a study was conducted according to the method A.6 of EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC. The concentration of test item was determined using a HPLC method. The water solubility of test item was estimated to be > 400 g/l.
