Description of key information

The study is not needed for solids which are marketed or distributed in a granular form or well dedusted, thus a test has been omitted in accordance with column 2 of Annex VII Section 7.14 of the REACH regulation.

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Chapter R.7A Endpoint Specific Guidance, specifically R.7.1.14.1 Information requirements on granulometry, the granulometry study does not need to be conducted as the substance is marketed or used only as well dedusted powder or in a granular form.

The substance is isolated by spray drying into the composite microgranular form or dedusting agent is added to form agglomerates of particles. As such, the particle size is not a function of the chemical but a function of the spray dryer and technique used; a typical particle size distribution for reactive dyes isolated as low dust granules is as follows:

10% < 123 µm; 25% < 159 µm; 50% < 207 µm; 75% < 266 µm; 90% < 326 µm
