Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

A first transition is observed at -25.9°C probably due to the transition from the crystalline to the amorphous phase. A second endothermic process is recorded at 199.4°C (reaarrangement of the physical state of the substance with metling and partial decomposition). A second scan shows that the first transition is less present and that no other phenomenon is recorded anymore, which triggers the results of modification of the structure of the substance. These findings are confirmed by IR analyses that show different vibrations of the substance before and after the phenomenon, most likely a decomposition of the substance during melting.

Conclusions:
The substance was tested for melting point determination following OECD 102 (DSC analysis). Under the experimental conditions the melting point/decomposition is 199.4°C.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for melting point determination following OECD 102 (Ricci, 2016). Under the experimental conditions an endothermic process, more likley a melting transition with decomposition process, is observed at 199.4°C. A second scan in the same range of temperatures did not show any process anymore and the IR vibrations of the substance before and after the transition are diffirent, demonstrating a chemical rearrangment of the substance (decomposition).

Description of key information
