Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
other: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
The 7th of June, 2012
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
(adopted 27.07.95)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Extracts were measured in the range 190/800 nm
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
ca. 384 700 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 3.5
Remarks on result:
other: mean of two measurements
Details on results:
Reference solutions were measured in the spectrophotometer in quantitative mode, thus generating a calibration curve smooth and linear at every concentration. Two measurement were performed, at 24 and after 48 hs. Measured results were the following:Final test at 24h: 381.6 g/LFinal test at 48h: 387.7 g/L

Preliminary solubility test: Reference samples and extract were first measured in the range 190 / 800 nm, so as to choose the right wavelength for quantitative measurements. Wavelength chosen: 419 nm.

Conclusions:
The tested substance is considered very soluble (water solubility = 384700 mg/l)
Executive summary:
