Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Aquatic acute toxicity

48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna): > 3.9 mg/L (mean measured concentration, saturated solution)

72 h, ErC50 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapita): > 7.94 mg/L (initial mean measured concentration, water-accommodated fraction)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

72 h, ErC10 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapita): > 7.94 mg/L (initial mean measured concentration, water-accommodated fraction)

Biodegradation: Not readily biodegradable (OECD 301F)

Partition coefficient: log Kow = 1.9

Water solubility: Could not be determined as test item is not stable under test conditions.

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable. No acute aquatic toxicity was recorded at levels up to the limit of water solubility (i.e. in a saturated solution or water-accommodated fraction). The ErC10 from an algal growth inhibition study, which can be considered a chronic endpoint, was also above the limit of solubility for the test item. In the algae study, it was suggested that toxicity was caused mainly by the test item rather than the hydrolysis products. No other information is available on the degradation and bioaccumulation of the hydrolysis product. Based on these results, the substance is not classified for aquatic acute and chronic toxicity, according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) as amended for the eighth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/918.
