Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the boiling point of the read across substance Reaktiv Scharlach F97 -0319 according to EU Method A.2, in compliance with GLP. The differential scanning calorimetry method was used in this study. The determination of the the boiling point was carried out in closed glass pan (with a heating rate of 3.0 K/min) and covered aluminium pan (with a heating rate of 10.0 K/min). The measurement in a closed glass pan did not show any endothermic effect prior to a decomposition of the test substance in the range of 150 -290°C, with a decomposition energy of 290 J/g. The measurement in a aluminium pan showed a broad endothermal effect in the range of 140 - 215°C, which can be explained by drying of the test substance. At about 215°C, a exothermal decomposition was observed in the range 215 - 315°C, with a decomposition energy of 275 J/g.
