Description of key information

No effects up to the limit of water solubility (< 0.05 mg/L, OECD 211).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One GLP study according to OECD 211 is available investigating the long-term effects of isononyl isononanoate on reproduction, mobility and growth of Daphnia magna (Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology (IME), 2013). A water accommodated fraction of the test item at the nominal loading of 100 mg/L was tested under semi-static conditions for 21 d. No effects on the reproduction , mobility and growth of D. magna was observed after the exposure resulting in a NOELR (21 d) ≥ 100 mg/L. Based on this result it can be concluded that no toxicological long-term effects on aquatic invertebrates are expected up to the limit of water solubility for isononyl isononanoate.
