First-aid measures

1 Description of first aid measures:

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

1.1 In case of inhalation:

If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.

1.2 In case of skin contact:

Flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

1.3 In case of eyes contact:

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

1.4 In case of ingestion:

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.

2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:

Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause respiratory irritation.

3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:

If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

1 Extinguishing media:

Suitable extinguishing media:       Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media:       Not available.

2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:       In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx), Sulphur oxides.

3 Advice for firefighters:       Firefighters must wear fire resistant protective equipment. Wear approved respirator and protective gloves.

Accidental release measures

1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

1.1 For non-emergency personnel:       Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation dust. Avoid skin and eye contact. For personal protection see Section 8.

1.2 For emergency responders:       Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if dust is generated.

2 Environmental Precautions:       Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment.

3 Methods for Containment and Cleaning

up:       Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Sweep up and shovel. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

1 Precautions for safe handling:

1.1 Protective measures:       Good hygienic practices should be observed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing dust. If exposed to high dust concentration, leave area immediately. Work clothes should be washed separately at the end of each work day. Keep away from sources of ignition. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

1.2 Advice on general occupational hygiene:       Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:       Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Moisture sensitive. Keep in a dry place.

3 Specific end use(s):       Not applicable.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1 Control parameters:

1.1 Occupational exposure limits:       Not available.

1.2 Additional exposure limits under the

conditions of use:       Not available.

1.3 DNEL/DMEL and PNEC-Values:       Not available.

2 Exposure controls:

2.1Appropriate engineering controls:       Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

2.2 Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:

Eye/face protection:       Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166.

Hand protection:       Handle with gloves.

Body protection:       Impervious clothing, The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.

Respiratory protection:       For nuisance exposures use type P95 (US) or type P1 (EU EN 143) particle respirator. For higher level protection use type OV/AG/P99 (US) or type ABEK-P2 (EU EN 143) respirator cartridges.

Thermal hazards:       Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.

2.3 Environmental exposure controls:       Avoid discharge into the environment.

According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.

Stability and reactivity

1 Reactivity:       The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.

2 Chemical stability:       Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.

3 Possibility of hazardous reactions:       No dangerous reactions known.

4 Conditions to avoid:       Incompatible materials.

5 Incompatible materials:       Strong oxidizing agents. Moisture.

6 Hazardous decomposition products:       Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx), Sulphur oxides.

Disposal considerations

1 Waste treatment methods:       Due to the high risk of contamination recycling/recovery is not recommended. Waste disposal in accordance with regulations (most probably controlled incineration).
