Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

The test item was examined for acute toxicity to freshwater fish in a 96-h static test according to OECD Guideline 203 and EU method C.1. The test item caused no mortality up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Thus, the 96-h LC50 was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The test item was examined for acute toxicity to aquatic invertetrates in a 48-h static test according to OECD Guideline 202 and EU method C.2. The test item caused no mortality up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Thus, the 48-h LC50 was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L

Short-term toxicity to aquatic algae

The test item was examined for acute toxicity to aquatic algea in a 72-h static test according to OECD Guideline 201 and EU method C.3. The test item caused no reduction in growth rate or biomass up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Thus, the 72-h LC50 was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L and the 72-h NOEC was determined to be 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

The test item was examined for toxicity to microorganisms in a 3-h static test according to OECD Guideline 209 and EG 88/302/EWG. The test item caused no inhibition of respiration up to a nominal concentration of 1000 mg/L. Thus, the 3-h IC50 was determined to be greater than 1000 mg/L.
