Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The experimental study is waived. No relevant experimental values were found for the two components. Estimates from the QSAR MPBPWIN v1.43 are used:

- n-Dodecyl acrylate (MW= 240.39): 0.332 Pa at 25°C. Saturated vapour concentration (Csat) at 25°C is therefore 32.2 mg/m3.

- n-Tridecyl acrylate (MW= 254.42): 0.154 Pa at 25°C. Csat at 25°C is therefore 15.81 mg/m3.

Comparison of inhalative exposure potential of both components: the component with the highest Csat has the highest inhalative exposure potential, except if Csat is corrected by the actual concentration of this component in the reaction mass. This concentration may vary betwen registrants, and is confidential. Therefore, as a worst-case the key values (VP and MW) of n-Dodecyl acrylate are kept as key values for the reaction mass, without any correction for actual concentration of this component. This approach is acceptable for exposure assessment and classification and labelling. In particular, as there are no inhalative DNELs, quantification of inhalative exposure is not required.
