Based on read-across approach from experimental data on analogue Methyltriacetoxysilane (79.5% biodegradation after 28 days of incubation), Triacetoxyvinylsilane was determined to be readily biodegradable under aerobic aqueous conditions. Furthermore, based on read-across approach on hydrolysis product acetic acid, the readily biodegradability and inherent biodegradability studies support the conclusion that Triacetoxyvinylsilane is readily biodegradable.
