Description of key information

Ammonium Hexafluorosilicate is inorganic by nature, hence the assessment for biodegradation in water is not required according to Regulation EC No. 1907/2006 (REACH).

Additional information

The substance is being registered according to the data requirements of Annex VII of REACH. According to this Annex, the only endpoint required is 'biodegradation in water: screening tests'. However, according to Column 2 'SPECIFIC RULES FOR ADAPTATION FROM COLUMN 1', of the Annex VII, of Regulation EC No. 1907/2006 the study/studies for evaluation of ready biodegradability does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. As the substance is inorganic in nature, the assessment for biodegradation in water therefore is not required.
