The general physico-chemical properties of Formaldehyde, reaction products with aniline, 4,4'-methylenebis[phenol] have been determined.
Melting/Freezing Point. In the range 37.2 to 39.4 °C (310.3 to 312.5 K) by differential scanning calorimetry using a method designed to be compatible with Method A.1 Melting/Freezing Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 102 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Discussion
The test item was analysed from sub ambient temperatures in order to obtain a stable baseline prior to the monitoring of the test item from ambient temperatures.
Determinations 1 and 2 were used to determine a suitable temperature range for the melting point determination, therefore, as the enthalpy of the change at approximately 40 °C is much smaller than the later endotherm, no integration was carried out.
As the test item shows a range of melting temperature the final results is reported as a melting range.
