Justification for type of information:
Brazing flux is stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time and does not react with water as showed by its production process that occurs with water. Additionally, the handling of the substance for brazing is done at elevated temperature (up to 970 °C), clarifying that brazing flux is not auto-flammable and that additional testing is not necessary.

Moreover, this evidence is for a temperature larger higher than that given in the REACH Annex VII, Col 2, where the Regulation provides the following specific rule to support non-testing: "for solids (...) or i preliminary results exclude self-heating of the substance up to 400°C".

Description of key information

The substance is used as a brazing flux and hence exposed to high temperatures. It does not show (auto)flammable properties under these conditions and therefore it was concluded that testing of auto flammability is not required.
