Results: Using a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5°C/min up to about 400°C, the test item Triiron bis(orthophosphate) (CAS 14940-41-1, EC 239-018-0) showed no self-ignition reaction. The test item was solid but a colour change from light grey to red brown was observed.

In conclusion, the test item Triiron bis(orthophosphate) (CAS 14940-41-1, EC 239-018-0) is considered to be not auto-flammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline.

The potential auto flammability of Triiron bis(orthophosphate)(CAS 14940-41-1, EC 239-018-0) was evaluated in a study conducted according to EU Method A.16 and GLP (Wagner-Rivas, 2015). The test item Triiron bis(orthophosphate) was used in its initial form. The test item showed no self-ignition reaction up to 400°C. Therefore, the test item is considered to be not auto-flammable.
