Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
2.9
Temp.:
23 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
Using 50/50 (v/v) acetonitrile/Milli-Q water as the mobile phase and a spectrophotometer set to read the absorbance at 210 nm, one test substance peak with 7 minutes retention time was observed in the chromatograms of the 11.0 mg/l Dihydrolinalool test solution which were recorded for 20 minutes. It was assumed that this peak derives from Dihydrolinalool.

The to (the retention time of the unretarded component) was determined to be 1.14 minutes as a mean value of both measurements (i.e. 1.14 and 1.14 minutes). The calculations were performed using not-rounded concentrations.
