Additional information

The pH value of the test substance is between 4.5 and 8.5 , but there is chlorine in the molecule which is responsible for pitting corrosion. Tests with hydrochloric acid at pH 2 gave no corrosion to steel and aluminium. The test material has a pH value from arround 5 to 6. That applies that the test substance has no corrosive properties to steel and aluminium.
