Description of key information

No experimental bioaccumulation test is available for propylene glycol n-propyl ether.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
3.16 L/kg ww

Additional information

Propylene glycol n-propyl ether has a very limited potential to bio-accumulate based on a low log Kow (0.621) and bioconcentration factor (BCF). The predicted BCF for PnP is 3.16 (log BCF = 0.5), based on the results of the EPIWIN/BCF Program. Thus, derogation applies to bioaccumulation testing.
