Description of key information

The test substance is a fine milky white powder with a pungent odour at 23.2°C and 101.3 kPa. A melting point of 191.05°C was determined using differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 102, and a boiling point of 277.36°C was determined using differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 103. A relative density of 1.39 at 20°C was measured using the pycnometer method according to OECD Guideline 109. In a granulometry study using particle size analysis by laser diffraction, the median diameter was 23.8 µm (D90 was 45.1 µm and D10 of 10.8 µm). The vapour pressure, 7.0E-11 hPa at 20°C, was determined using effusion method vapour pressure balance according to OECD Guideline 104. The partition coefficient, Log Kow, 2.25 at 25°C, was determined using the shake-flask method according to OECD Guideline 107. The substance was moderately soluble in water (135 mg/L at 20°C) when tested in the flask method according to OECD Guideline 105. Surface tension, 59.37 dynes/cm at 20°C, was determined using a ring method according to OECD Guideline 115. The substance was non-flammable when tested according to EU Method A.10, not explosive when tested according to EU Method A.14, not oxidizing when tested according to EU Method A.17, and exhibited no self-ignition when tested according to EU Method A.14.  The pH of the substance was 5.78 and the substance did not dissociate when tested according to OECD Guideline 112.
