The flash point of the substance was assessed using a ERAFLASH - Flashpoint Tester. At 277 °C there was a pressure failure (solid substance was found outside the cup). Therefore the conclusion was drawn that the flash point is not < 277 °C.
Reference
Only a preliminary test was performed, because at 277°C the instrument records a pressure failure. Visual observation after the testshowed that the substance remained as a solid residue outside the sample cup due to reaction and/ordecomposition. In order to avoid further damage to the instrument, it was decided not to repeat the initial test.

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as flammable liquid according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008.
The flammability of liquids is determined on basis of their flash point (in combination with their boiling point). The flash point is > 60 degrees C (≥ 277 °C). The composition of the test substance and the structure of the main component were evaluated and the test substance does not contain groups that might lead to ignition in contact with water and/or to the evolution of a flammable gas. Moreover the test substance was dissolved in water during the determination of the water solubility. Observations during this study demonstrate that the test substance does not ignite spontaneously in contact with water.
