Description of key information

The analogue was not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the modified Sturm test presently performed (degradation 1-2% over 29 day period). In addition the analogue was not inherently biodegradable in a head space test (degradation <10% over 56 days).

A QSAR on the substance itself, showed that the substance is not expected to be readily biodegradable.

Additional information

Based on the results of two biodegradation studies with a structural analogue and a QSAR on the substance itself, it is concluded that the substance is not readily biodegradable.
