Description of key information

Tridecane: The LC50 (48h, 20°C) is > water solubility (0.01 mg/l)
Tetradecane: No immobilisation was observed. (NOEC > water solubility)
Lubricant oils: The described EL50 >10000 mg/l for the water accomodated fraction shows a LC50 > water solubility.

Additional information

All test show a LC50/EL50/NOEC > water solubility.

In case of Acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates no immobilisation is reported.

Based on the results from similar substances the toxicity to aquativ invertebrates for C14 -17 -Alkanes is expected to be LC50 > water solubility.
