All studies on acute toxicity were conducted in GLP studies following international guidelines.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: The toxicity was studied in an acute immobilization test on Daphnia magna in a limit test following OECD 202. The test organisms were exposed to a saturated solution of the test substance over a period of 48 hours. No adverse effects were observed. Therefore, the EC50 was higher than a saturated solution (8.4 mg/L, as determined by TOC analysis).

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria: The study was conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 201. After 72 hours of exposure there was a slight inhibitory effect at the saturated solution of the test substance. Higher dilutions had no effect on the growth of the algae. Therefore, the ErC50 was higher than a saturated solution (4.6 mg/L, as determined by TOC analysis)
