Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Acute fish toxicity:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the registered substance (Parr, 2014). In this study Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction of EC 613-848-7 at a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/L under semi-static conditions for 96 hours. The LL50 (96 h) was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The substance is not acutely harmful to fish.

Long-term fish toxicity:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the registered substance (Parr, 2014). In this study Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction of EC 613-848-7 at nominal loading rates of 10, 32 or 100 mg/L under semi-static conditions for 21 days. The LL50 (21 d) was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading Rate was 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The substance is not harmful to fish after prolonged exposure.

Acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the test substance (Harris, 2013). In this study Daphnia magna were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction of EC 613-848-7 at a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/L under static conditions for 48 hours. The EL50 (48 h) value was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The substance is not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the test substance (Harris, 2014). In this study Daphnia magna were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction of EC 613-848-7 at nominal loading rate of 1.0, 3.2, 10, 32 or 100 mg/L under semi-static conditions for 21days. The EL50 (21 d, immobilization) value was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The EL50 (21 d, reproduction) value was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The Lowest Observed Effect Loading Rate was 32 mg/L loading rate WAF (based on production of live young per adult) and the No Observed Effect Loading Rate was 10 mg/L loading rate WAF (based on parental mortality and production of live young per adult).

Toxicity to algae:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the test substance (Vreyenhoef, 2014). In this study Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction of EC 613-848-7 at a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/L under static conditions for 72 hours. The ErL50 (72 h) value was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The NOELR was 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The substance is not harmful to algae.

Toxicity to micro-organisms:One reliable study is available for an analogue of the test substance (Roulstone, 2013). In this study activated sewage sludge was exposed to aqueous dispersions of EC 613-848-7 at up to 1000 mg/L with the addition of synthetic sewage as a respiratory substrate for 3 hours. Based on the rate of respiration, the EC50 (3 h) was > 1000 mg/L and the NOEC (3 h) was 1000 mg/L. The substance is not harmful to microorganisms.
