Conclusions:
As the test item did not freeze in the course of the preliminary test, the main test was not performed. Based on the preliminary test freezing point of the test item is below 244 K (-29 °C).
Executive summary:

The purpose of this study was to determine the freezing point of test item. The freezing point of the test item was found to be below 244 K (-29 °C).

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 Annex VII section 7.2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), the test on melting point does not need to be conducted as the melting point of the substance is below -20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination of the freezing point of the test item was performed according to OECD Guideline 102 , EU Method A.1. and EPA OPPTS 830.7200 (Melting Point / Melting Range). As the test item did not freeze in the course of the preliminary test, the main test was not performed. Based on the preliminary test freezing point of the test item is below 244 K (-29 °C). The melting point of the reference item lays within the accepted range.
