CAS# 756-13-8 has a high vapor pressure and a low solubility. The parent compound is not expected to be present in the terrestrial compartment, and we have proposed to waive all testing of terrestrial toxicity endpoints on this substance due to lack of exposure. CAS# 756-13-8 is subject to direct photolysis with an estimated half life of approximately one week. The ultimate phototransformation products are expected to be TFA and HF, with potential for PFPA formation due to photolysis under NOx-limited conditions. We have proposed to waive all testing of terrestrial toxicity on TFA and PFPA based on weight of evidence arguments.
