Additional information

The readily biodegradability of the substance was assessed according to EU Method C.4-A (Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) Die-Away Test), for 28 days, with several modification from the guideline, and the tested substance was found to be not readily biodegradable.

Furthermore the BOD5 (Biological Oxygen Demand) and the COD (chemical Oxygen Demand) were assessed, according to EEC Directive 79 -831, Annex V. C.9 and C.8 respectively. The DOC was 0 % after 28th day. The value of the measured BOD5, corrected with the blank control was 0 mg/g O2; the value of the analytical determination of COD of was 1109 mg/g O2. The ratio BOD5/COD is 0 (if => 0.5, the substance is regarded as being readily biodegradable).
