Description of key information

FAT 21036/G is a light blue powder at 20 °C. When tested according to OECD Guideline 102 for melting point and OECD Guideline 103 for boiling point determination the test substance did not melt or boil until 350 °C. The average relative density of FAT 21036/G at 20 °C was found to be 16400 g/cm³. The median particle size was found to be 74.864 µm. The partition co-efficient n-octanol/water at 20 °C was determined to be Pow = 3.98, Log Pow = 0.58. The water solubility at 20 °C was determined to (without correction for the purity) 64.3 g/l. The surface tension was determined to be 63.834mN/m at 20 °C. The auto-ignition temperature of FAT 21036/G cannot be determined, as no auto-ignition occurred up to 550 °C. No ignition was observed throughout the course of a flammability study with the test item, hence it is considered as not highly flammable. FAT 21036/G is considered to be non-explosive according to Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and no further testing are required. It is also considered to be not oxidising.
