Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No long-term fish toxicity studies have been performed as in the acute toxicity study the LC50 was > 77 mg/l , and because environmental concentrations are expected to be low.
There is no significant danger to the environment expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

As TGIC is of low to moderate toxicity for aquatic organisms in the short term tests and because TGIC is expected to be present in the environment in low concentrations, no long-term toxicity test with fish have been conducted. TGIC is hydrolysed rather quickly in water to form the tri-hydroxy compound , e.g. all three epoxy groups are hydrolized. The hydrolization product is expected to be of low toxicity.
