Key result
Temp.:
20°C
Parameter:
dynamic viscosity (in mPa s)
Value:
54 000
Key result
Temp.:

Results are presented in the attached document "Figures and Tables - Viscosity.pdf".

There was no significant time dependence for the viscosity (Figures 1 and 2).

At both temperatures, the test item showed insignificant decrease in viscosity with increasing spindle speed (shear rate) (Figures 3 and 4 and Tables 1 and 2). This type of behaviour indicates that the test item is a Newtonian fluid.

Description of key information

54000 mPa.s at 20 °C and 8000 mPa.s at 40 °C (OECD114)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
54 000 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The test material showed Newtonian flow behaviour under the test conditions.
