The surface tension of test item aqueous solution (502.0 mg / 500 ml) was found to be 72.1, 72.1, 72.2, 72.2, 72.1 mN/m (resulting a mean value 72.1 mN/m) at 20.0 ± 0.5°C, using the ring method.

As this value is higher than 60 mN/m, the test item can be considered as non-surface active.

Conclusions:

Executive summary:

The determination of the surface tension of the subsatnce was performed according to the OECD guideline 115 and according to the EU method A.5.

In the course of the study aqueous solution was prepared containing 1 g/l concentration of test item. Surface tension of this solution was determined applying the ring method. The test was performed with the help of Krüss Easy Dyne type tensiometer.

The surface tension of test item aqueous solution (502.0 mg / 500 ml) was found to be 72.1, 72.1, 72.2, 72.2, 72.1 mN/m (resulting a mean value 72.1 mN/m) at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, using the ring method. As this value is higher than 60 mN/m, the test item can be considered as non-surface active.

Conclusion

Surface tension: 72.1 nN/m t 20 °C and at concentration of 1004 mg/l.
