Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:

Key result
Atm. press.:
1 002 mBar
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
> 180 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
The test material decomposes at temperatures above approx. 180°C without boiling.

At a heating rate of 1 °C/minute, the test material was observed to darken from approximately 180 °C, indicating decomposition.

The DSC trace showed a positive deviation from the baseline at about 180 °C, followed by a more pronounced series of endotherms and exotherms which confirmed that the test substance decomposed before boiling.

Description of key information

Decomposes above approximately 180ºC before boiling (OECD 103, EU A.2)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Decomposes before boiling (above approximately 180°C)
