Key result
Surface tension:
ca. 54.4 mN/m
Temp.:
20.2 °C
Conc.:
0.9 g/L
Remarks on result:
other: 200.3 mg test item was put in 200 mL deionized water and stirred for 15 minutes. The test item was not completely solved after the strirring period. Therefore the solution was filtered and diluted to 90%.

The test item had a mean surface tension of 54.4 mN/m. Due to the fact that the surface tension was lower than 60 mN/m, it is concluded that the substance has surface-active properties.

Description of key information

The substance has surface-active properties since the mean measured surface tension of the aqueous solution at 20°C was 54.4 mN/m.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
54.4
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
900
