Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

The test item was determined to be not oxidising based on the chemical structure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The oxidizing properties of the substance are screened based on the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (Orange Book, 3rd edition, 1999). Based on the UN Recommendation criteria the substance is considered to be non-oxidizing and therefore is not to be tested experimentally for the classification. Thus it can be concluded that the substance is not capable of causing fire or enhancing the risk of fire when in contact with combustible material.
