Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not specified
Conclusions:
The toxicity to fish (pimephales promelas) of 1,3-dichlorobenzene was determined at a NOEC (mortality) of 2.4 mg/L until hatch, a NOEC (growth) of 1 mg/L and a LOEC (mortality) of 2.3 mg/L after 32 days.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity to fish (Pimephales promelas) of 1,3-dichlorobenzene was determined according to a national standard method " APHA (1971): Standard Methods for the examination of water and wastewater" and showed results at a NOEC (mortality) of 2.4 mg/L until hatch, a NOEC (growth) of 1 mg/L and a LOEC (mortality) of 2.3 mg/L after 32 days.
