- To remove some of the abnormal by the visual observation when fish availability, Acceptance tank in medicine Yokugo, I was 1-2 months bred in running water state.
- Desinfection: For external disinfection, the fish were placed in an aqueous solution (7 g/L sodium chloride) in a water-stop state for 24
hours.

At reception, fish showing visible abnormal signs were removed. Then fish were reared according to flow through system for 1-2 months after external
disinfection.
- External disinfection
External disinfection was performed according to static condition for 24 hours in an aqueous solution containing 50 mg/L Terramycin (Taito Pfizer) and 7 g/L sodium chloride.
- Condition of acclimation: Fish were reared in an acclimation tank according to flow through system at temperature of 25 + 2 °C for about 28 days. During the period, abnormal fish were removed. Then the fish were transfered to test tanks and reared again at the same temperature according to flow through system for about one month.

- The experimental BCF values in carp (Cyprinus carpio) after 8 weeks of exposure are 57 - 229 (concentration 100 µg/L) and 58 - 370
(concentration 10 µg/L) for 1,3-dichlorobenzene. 1,3-dichlorobenzene should be considered to "Not Bioaccumulative in Aquatic Organisms" according to the EC regulation no 1272/2008. - Executive summary:
The determination of the bioconcentration of 1,3-dichlorobenzene was tested according to the guideline "Bioaccumulation test of chemical substances in fish and shellfish" (1974) and corresponding to OECD guideline 305C (Bioaccumulation: Test for the degree of bioconcentration in Fish, 1981). They exposed Cyprinus carpio (carp) with a lipid content of 4.8 % to 100 µg/L and 10 µg/L of 1,3 -dichlorobenzene during 8 weeks. After this period they obtained experimental BCF values of 57 - 229 (concentration 100 µg/L) and 58 - 370 (concentration 10 µg/L). 1,3 -dichlorobenzene should be considered to "Not Bioaccumulative in Aquatic Organisms" according to the EC regulation no 1272/2008.
