Description of key information

The experimental determination of the explosivity of a compound is not required, if the absence of certain reactive groups (Bretherick, 1990) in the structural formula indicate that the substance will not decompose violently under formation of gases or release of energy and thus does not pose a risk for explosivity. Dysprosium metal (powder/massive) does not possess any groups associated with explosive properties.
